Karin

Karin was originally an assistant and guinea pig under the orders of Orochimaru. She was first introduced in chapter 348 as the keeper of one of the ‘deceased’ Orochimaru’s laboratories and experimentation center. It has been pointed out at the time that she was loyal to the Sannin but as she also holds some kind of feelings for Sasuke her loyalties, soon enough, changed to fit her best interests.

Karin has red eyes, matching hair color and an unusual hairstyle; her hair is short and unkempt on one side, and long and combed on the other. Her personality often suffers from mood swings, switching from a focused chackra-sensitive ninja to an infatuated woman when alone with Sasuke or even, a plain full-of-herself woman whenever she is having a discussion with her fellow teammate Hozuki Suigetsu.

Although it’s been clear since the beginning of team Hebi/Taka that she only joined to satisfy her obsession for Sasuke, her overall team-work ability and recognition has grown as well to go as far as saving all her male teammates in a recent battle against the 8-tails beast.

Her abilities are mainly for tracking and localize chakra signatures, useful to sense enemies approaching or follow an objective, and she also has the uncommon skill to heal and give chakra trough her blood. This detail has yet to be connected to an event in Sasuke’s past which could explain how they got to know each other back under Orochimaru’s surveillance and whereas this encounter did lead to something else as Suigetsu suggested a couple of times.
